HEY PEEPS. That’s right, we are wearing Peeps hats. Brit, Maggie and I walked around the Sands Hotel property before the Admitted Student Reception on March 30th, and we got the hats for free at the Peeps store! (I also bought a gumball machine and 50 pounds of Mike and Ikes…)
We had such a good time meeting the admitted students in Pennsylvania! I am off to Miami this weekend to meet some more future MMC students. Get Ready!!!

Oh hi there,
Spring Break is finally here and I am so excited to travel down to Florida for a nice little break! Classes are going well and everything at MMC is moving along! I am the Community Service Chair of MMC CAB (Campus Activities Board), so I have been planning some community service events around the city so that students can give back. It’s a fun club to get involved with, so you should definitely join (meetings are Monday, 1-2:20pm).
On my walk to school everyday I pass about four of my favorite store, Duane Reade, and I just wanted to express to all prospective students how spoiled they will be once living in NYC. Duane Reade is everywhere, which is perfect for the college student because they sell almost everything you need for life! Not only do they have a Blockbuster Express machine (for a late-night movie), they also have school supplies (to prepare you for classes), red bull (to prepare you for late night study sessions), cold medicine (to prepare you for the brrrr NYC weather), milk (so you can eat your cereal), flowers (to surprise your roommate and make their day) and everything else in between. AND THEY ARE OPEN 24/7.
Get excited! Get excited! If you live at the 55th Street Res Hall you will live right by the recently redesigned Duane Reade on 3rd ave and it is AMAZING!!!! It is a Mega-Reade so they have everything above and more!!!!
Well, off to study for my exams. What is your favorite store? Bloomingdales is right down the street from school too ;)

Howdy,
Hope everyone is doing well! Long time, no tumblr? I have been super busy with life, school, and work (and fun, of course).
I am not sure which followers were at Admitted Students Day this past weekend… but I had such an amazing time! It was so nice meeting everyone that I loaded on the buses to 55th Street, laughed with on the bus, and sang with at the carnival. Above is a video from karaoke at the Admitted Students Day carnival, which was probably the best performance of the day (other than when I sang “Glad you Came”). Watch it and reblog it to all your friends. Man, these current and future MMC students have really good voices. This song makes me wish for summer weather and fun in the sun.
Weirdly enough, the weather in NYC has been warm lately (end of the world). It has been nice for me because I’ve been able to explore the city and Central Park with friends. Also, Mr. Pancake (my dog) loves the weather too - we’ve been going on long walks lately where he leads the way and runs me around town, then he gets tired and I have to carry him back home. Oh, how I love my little furry pom.
For my Environmental Science class we have to work on a project at Bowling Green Park (which is the oldest park in the city) so it has been beautiful weather to go and take photos at the park and collect data for class (I love how NYC is our campus).
Glad to see some of you at Admitted Students Day, post photos if you have any! Also, enjoy the weather (while it lasts, can’t wait to see if the summer weather turns into winter).

Wow this semester is going super fast! What have I been doing? School, school, school, work, school, and some club meetings. I am now officially member of Campus Activities Board (CAB) at MMC. It is really easy to get involved on campus with clubs… all you really have to do is attend the weekly meetings!
Classes are going well, I am enjoying getting “into” my major with Business Management classes and then of course Environmental Science is neat too :) Working in the Admissions office is always a joy, you guys need to come visit me!
This past weekend was the first LONG weekend of the semester… although it didn’t seem too long to me. My mother came into town to stay with me and do some shopping and see some Broadway shows and eat good food! She surprised me with a friend from home who flew up with her (which was so exciting, it is always good to see faces from home). We explored the city, went to see Sister Act on Broadway (highly recommended), and did the Gossip Girl bus tour (also highly recommended). Since I am a big fan of the show and wish daily for the “gossip girl” lifestyle, I enjoyed seeing the sights of where they film in the city (SOME ARE VERY CLOSE TO MMC!!!!). We also were able to eat some good yum-yums… I highly highly highly recommend TAO! I ate there and almost died. The food and atmosphere are amazing.
What did you guys do over the long weekend? Eat any good food? See any “gossip girls”? Or did you just do lots of homework?
